Members gain XP from messages and from minutes spent in voice channels. Message XP is random (10-18 by default) behind a 30-second per-user cooldown, so spamming does not pay. Voice XP is credited once a minute, 12 XP per minute by default, with multipliers that grow the longer someone stays. Everything is stored per server, so each server keeps its own ranking.
What it does
- Awards a random 10-18 XP per message behind a 30-second cooldown per user, both values configurable
- Credits 12 XP per minute in voice every 60 seconds, with session bonuses rising to +130% after three hours
- Applies weekend and global multipliers, and excludes the channels and roles you list
- Picks up members already sitting in voice after a bot restart
- Ranks members with /leaderboard by level, total XP, messages sent or voice time
Worth knowing before you turn it on
In the current build this does not work on servers other than our own: the per-server code path passes its arguments to the database in the wrong order, so no XP is written, and the level-up card lookup calls a method that does not exist in that class. Do not count on this feature until we ship the fix. Beyond that: voice level-ups are only announced if you set a level-up channel, otherwise they pass silently, while message level-ups fall back to the channel the member was writing in. Reward roles are not part of this feature, they come from Level Roles on Pro. The /rank card command is locked to one hard-coded channel ID and needs a code change to work on another server.
