Terms of Service
What you get, what we expect, and what happens when either side stops.
Last updated draft
It is published early so it can be read and corrected in the open, but it still needs 6 data-handling changes in the bot itself. Nothing is on sale while it says this, and the page is not indexed.
These are the rules between you and us. They are written to be read: plain sentences, no wall of capitals, nothing hidden in a subclause. Where the law gives you a right, we say so instead of hoping you miss it.
1. Who you are dealing with
AceV Network is run by Danijel Balcakovic, a sole trader (natural person) based in Switzerland. You can write to us at info@acev.net, and we read it.
“We” and “us” mean that person. “You” means whoever adds the AceV bot to a Discord server, uses this website, or buys a plan. These terms cover the AceV Discord bot, this website, and the AceV Minecraft network once it opens.
2. We are not Discord, and we are not Mojang
NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.
AceV is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc. either. Using the bot means you also follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Those are between you and Discord: if Discord suspends your account or your server, there is nothing we can do about it.
3. Who can use AceV
- You must meet Discord’s minimum age for your country — 13 in most places, higher in some. We do not verify ages ourselves; we rely on Discord doing it.
- To add the bot to a server you must be its owner, or have the Manage Server permission and the owner’s agreement.
- To buy a paid plan you must be 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract. If you are younger, someone with parental responsibility has to buy it.
4. What the service actually is
The bot is under active development. Features get added, changed, and occasionally removed when they turn out to be a bad idea. We will not pretend otherwise: if a feature you rely on is going away and you are on a paid plan, you get 30 days’ notice.
There is no uptime guarantee. Everything runs on a single dedicated machine. It goes down for updates, and occasionally it goes down because something broke. We do not offer service credits, and you should not build anything critical on top of it.
The Minecraft network is not open yet. Anything the site describes as coming is a plan, not a promise, and it is not something you are paying for.
5. Your server is yours
You choose which features to switch on, which channels the bot writes in, and which roles it hands out. We supply the tool; what you do with it in your community is your responsibility.
That has a consequence worth stating plainly. When the bot handles your members’ data, you are the one who has to tell your members it is there and to have a lawful reason for running it. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly what the bot touches, feature by feature, so you can actually do that rather than guess.
6. What you must not do
- Resell, sublicense, rebrand or rent out the bot.
- Unlock features your plan does not include, by any means.
- Use the bot to break the law, to harass, to mass-DM, to scrape Discord, or to moderate people on the basis of who they are rather than what they do.
- Abuse the AI features: flooding them to burn our budget, or steering them into producing illegal content.
- Attack the service — overload it, probe it, or try to reach data belonging to another server.
- Impersonate AceV or claim to be an official part of it.
If a server does any of this we can suspend the bot there. Where the abuse is ongoing or is harming someone, we will suspend first and explain afterwards.
7. Plans and payment
The Free plan is free, per server, and needs no card. It is not a trial and it does not expire.
Paid plans are not on sale yet
Nothing on this site can currently be bought. The rest of this section describes how paying will work when it opens, so it is on the record before anyone is asked for money — not so that it applies today.
- Plans are billed per server, not per member, and renew until you cancel.
- Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as the merchant of record. In plain terms: your payment contract is with them, not with us. They take the payment, handle the tax and issue the invoice, under their terms.
- Prices are shown in EUR and include tax where tax is due.
- We can change prices with 30 days’ notice. A new price only applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before it lands.
- If a payment fails, the server drops to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted at that moment — see the retention section for what happens next.
8. Refunds
A plan is a digital service that starts working the moment you buy it. At checkout you will be asked to confirm two things: that you want it to start immediately, and that you understand this means giving up the 14-day right of withdrawal. If you do not confirm that, the right stays — we do not take it from you by default.
The Refund Policy sets out the whole thing, including the cases where we refund anyway.
9. Ending it
You can remove the bot from your server whenever you like; that ends the service there, immediately, with no notice to give. Cancelling a paid plan stops the next renewal — you keep what you paid for until the period runs out, and you do not get a bill afterwards.
We can end this agreement with 30 days’ notice, or immediately if you do one of the things in section 6.
10. If we shut down
Small projects end. If this one does, we will give at least 30 days’ notice here and in the support server, stop taking payments the same day we announce it, refund the unused part of any plan already paid for, and give you a window to export your server’s data before it is deleted.
11. What belongs to whom
The bot, this website, the code behind them, the AceV name and the artwork are ours, and adding the bot does not transfer any of it to you.
What you and your members write stays yours. We handle it only to run the features you switched on, and we do not sell it, and we do not use your members’ messages to train models for anyone else.
If you send us feedback or a feature idea, we can use it without owing you anything. That is not us claiming your work — it is so that a suggestion in the support channel does not turn into a dispute later.
12. Warranties and liability
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
In particular: the AI moderation features are statistical. They miss real abuse and they flag innocent messages. They are a second pair of eyes, not a guarantee, and you should not make them the only thing standing between your community and harm.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost members or lost revenue. Where we are liable, the total is capped at what you actually paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.
None of that limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us exclude. And if you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the rights your own country’s law gives you.
13. Changes to these terms
We will post the new version on this page with a new date at the top. If a change is material and you are on a paid plan, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies and you can cancel in the meantime. Carrying on using the bot after a change means you accept it.
14. Which law, which court
Swiss law applies, and the ordinary courts at our seat in Switzerland have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA or the UK, that sentence does not take anything away from you: you keep the mandatory protections of your own country’s law, and you can bring a claim where you live.
We are not bound to use any consumer arbitration board and, as things stand, we do not take part in one. (The European ODR platform that older terms link to was shut down on 20 July 2025 and no longer exists — if you want an out-of-court route, your national consumer body or the European Consumer Centre in your country is the current one.)
15. Odds and ends
- If one clause turns out to be invalid, the rest stays standing.
- Not enforcing something once does not mean we have given it up.
- You cannot transfer this agreement to someone else. We can, if the service changes hands, and we will tell you before it happens.
- These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement between us.
Written in English. If we ever publish a translation and the two disagree, the English version is the one that counts.
